Day 3

We rejoice in the steadfast faithfulness of our Lord! Once again, He has graciously answered prayer. By His mercy, our team has found rest and is adjusting to the time zone better than we expected. The Lord has also blessed us with beautiful weather.

Meditation on God's Word

This morning, we reflected on Acts 17:16-32 and Romans 1:18-23. As we discussed Paul's distress over the lack of worship of God in Athens, we were challenged to examine our own hearts: Do we grieve the lack of worship around us in the same way? Walking the streets of Tokyo, we became aware of the city's idolatry, but it was a sobering reminder that idolatry is not unique to Japan. In His kindness, God has been exposing the idols within our own hearts as well. We praise Him for the ongoing opportunity to confess and repent.

Growing in Fellowship

We're getting to know each other in some fun ways on this trip! Some of us are true anime enthusiasts, others are fast becoming sushi connoisseurs, and a few couldn't contain their excitement during our visit to a Uniqlo. These small discoveries are drawing us closer together and remind us that God's grace is seen even in our quirks and shared laughter.

Prayer Requests

• Please pray for God's sustaining grace as we continue to fight off jetlag and seek to stay alert, both physically and spiritually.

• Pray that as we grow in our knowledge of one another, we would pursue deeper unity and Christlike love – extending the same grace and mercy to each other that Christ has so freely given to us.
